Phlegm-Blood Stasis

Prolonged phlegm obstruction impairs blood flow; phlegm and stasis bind together, progressively narrowing the airway. Common in long-term snorers. If accompanied by nocturnal choking episodes, sleep apnea should be ruled out.

Tongue & Pulse Dark or purplish tongue with ecchymosis, white greasy or grey greasy coating; wiry-choppy or deep-slippery pulse

📍 Inner thigh, 2 cun above the medial end of the patella, over the bulge of the vastus medialis

2 Ge Shu (BL 17)

📍 Back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the 7th thoracic vertebra

Meeting point of blood; activates blood, dispels stasis, broadens the chest

3 Feng Long (ST 40)

📍 Lateral leg, 8 cun above the lateral malleolus

Dissolves phlegm and dampness; combined with blood-activating points to treat phlegm-stasis together

Lifestyle Adjustments
