Ginger Brown Sugar Tea
Ginger Brown Sugar Tea is a classic TCM dietary remedy. Ginger is acrid and warm, dispersing cold; brown sugar is sweet and warm, nourishing blood. Together they dispel cold, warm the stomach, and promote blood circulation—ideal for winter and menstrual care.
Ingredients
- Fresh ginger, 3-5 slices (about 15g)
- Brown sugar, 15-30g
- Red dates, 3-5 (optional)
Preparation
- Rinse and slice ginger
- Add about 300ml water and ginger to a pot
- Bring to boil, then simmer 5-10 minutes
- Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved
- Optional: add red dates for extra blood-nourishing effect
